It started with a stupid problem.

I was recording myself — setting up my laptop camera, hitting record, walking to my spot, doing the thing, walking back, checking if I was even in frame. I wasn't. So I'd adjust, walk back, try again. Repeat five times. Every. Single. Time.

My phone has a great camera. It's always in my pocket. But every "solution" out there wanted me to download an app, create an account, pay a subscription, or deal with drivers that broke every other week. For something that should just work.

So I built Camcastar.

Open the dashboard on your laptop. Scan the QR code with your phone. That's it. Your phone is now a live wireless camera on your screen. No app. No login. No cable. No nonsense. Completely free.

You can see exactly what your phone sees — adjust the angle, switch lenses, control zoom and focus, all from your laptop. When you record, the video saves to both your phone and your laptop automatically. Full quality on the phone. Backup on the laptop. Nothing gets lost.

I built this for myself. Then I thought — someone else probably has this exact problem too. So here it is, free for everyone.
